Composer
Ella Lindforth-Delaney is a British composer and multi-instrumentalist whose cinematic compositions seamlessly blend her foundational roots in original classical music with modern, evocative storytelling. Regarded as a compelling new voice in contemporary screen composition, her work is recognised for its intricate orchestration, emotional depth, and dramatic precision.
Captivated from a young age by the enduring emotional resonance of cinema, her lifelong passion for film music stems from its power to linger in the memory forever.
Her foundation is rooted in classical tradition having earned a violin scholarship to the Yehudi Menuhin School from ages 10 to 18, followed by studies at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and The Royal Academy of Music. By drawing upon her formal training as a classical violinist, Ella brings an elite level of string writing, live-performance intuition and sonic production to every score she creates.
She is currently shortlisted for Best Score at the 2026 British Short Film Awards with Celebrating Tchaikovsky. Her music for the project has been recognised as a "masterpiece of original classical music" showcasing her unique ability to pay homage to historical tradition while breathing fresh, innovative energy to the screen.
Highly collaborative by nature Ella enjoys the opportunity to partner closely with directors, writers, and production houses to build immersive sonic landscapes that elevate the storytelling.
